Pendry Debuts Los Angeles Property

Pendry Hotels & Resorts has inaugurated its first property in Los Angeles: Pendry West Hollywood. The eclectic concept is home to 149 luxury accommodations and 40 residences, as well as amenities like a private membership club, versatile entertainment venue, and two F&B options led by chef and restaurateur Wolfgang Puck. Modern urban glamour is radiated across the property thanks to the talents of Ehrlich Yanai Rhee Chaney Architects, Cunningham Group Architects, and Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, which oversaw the interior design.

“I always like my interiors to appeal to different moods and be capable of transition throughout someone’s stay,” says Brudnizki, founder of his eponymous New York- and London-based firm. “We wanted to create a hotel that responded to LA through a color palette that was composed of the blues of the ocean and sky, the greens of the hills, and the pinks of the sunsets, as well as injecting some Hollywood glamour.”

European-style café Ospero occupies a corner of the hotel’s ground floor, and accommodates indoor and alfresco dining overlooking a landscaped piazza. Crowning the property, rooftop restaurant Merois embraces a backdrop of the city’s urban sprawl and features a rich, moody bar area anchored by a central fireplace. “I think the rooftop is the standout aspect,” Brudnizki adds.

Additional amenities include Spa Pendry, which is home to four treatment rooms, two steam rooms, a couple’s room, nail salon, lounge, movement studio, and locker rooms. Pendry West Hollywood also boasts an onsite screening room and bowling alley, as well as a 2,300-square-foot ballroom—the centerpiece of its meeting and event spaces—which opens up to a spacious foyer and outdoor garden terrace.
