A new Italian restaurant and wine bar from SA Hospitality Group has debuted on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Felice‘s latest concept was crafted akin to a neighborhood spot by Sam Tannehill to exude elegance and recall the Tuscan countryside. “It’s a restaurant where the richness of the Tuscan trattoria merges and blends with the New York grit, and I wanted to bring that to life,” Tannehill says. “Throughout guests’ dining experience, I’m hoping they encounter the depth of the Italian heritage, the excitement of New York possibility, and the comfort of knowing that this is a place where they belong.”
Housed within a 4,000-square-foot structure, the two-level eatery is flooded with natural light via a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows on the ground floor, while an intimate cocktail and wine lounge occupies the lower level along with a steam flame fireplace for moodiness.
Warm hues are gently illuminated by soft lighting in the dining room, and vintage furniture sourced in Hudson, New York instills a midcentury flair. Totaling nearly 42 feet in length, the bar serves as a key focal point, flanked by brass and glass shelving that showcases liquor as well as jars of preservatives and pickled vegetables.
