Conrad Hotels & Resorts has opened its second New York property, the Conrad New York Midtown, adding to Conrad’s extensive portfolio of luxury hotels. The 54-floor, 563-suite property, previously known as The London New York, underwent a complete transformation as part of its repositioning and rebranding. The Conrad New York Midtown is the only all-suites hotel in Midtown New York, featuring a collection of premium accommodations, including four Apartment Suites, six Sky Suites, the Atrium Suite and the duplex Penthouse, which includes panoramic views of Central Park and the Manhattan skyline. Designed by New York-based Stonehill Taylor, the design is meant to evoke an expression of calm elegance that is grand, lavish and comfortable. The hotel’s contemporary design, extensive art collection and elevated amenities, including its new bar and restaurant Dabble, invite guests to experience Manhattan in a timeless residential setting.
The Hardy Group oversaw the renovations of the hotel from start to finish and is managing a series of Capex projects as well, including roof replacement, façade repair, elevator modernization, generator replacement and demolition of the Carriage House. “While this project came with plenty of challenges, witnessing the evolution of the hotel into a luxury product was transformational. The hotel’s large-scale rooms and timeless design sets it apart from most hotels in the city” said Anthony Legamaro, Senior Project Director at Hardy.
