On the heels of its recent announcement of the Standard, Brussels, Standard International has revealed plans to debut a Singapore property in 2023. Slated for development across from the iconic Shangri-La Singapore, the 143-room Standard, Singapore will be one of only a few ground-up hotel projects constructed in close proximity to the Orchard Road commercial corridor.
“Singapore is a culturally rich and dynamic city that is ready to embrace the creativity and personality of the Standard,” says Standard International CEO Amar Lalvani. “Singapore has emerged into an incredibly important and innovative hub in Asia and we couldn’t be more excited about this development. New hotel licenses in the city are rare and highly coveted and we feel fortunate to partner with Invictus Development to bring this project to life. Although the global travel dynamics remain challenging at the moment, we continue to build landmark projects around the world in anticipation of a brighter future.”
Also a short walk from the UNESCO Singapore Botanic Gardens, the hotel will be home to the Standard’s signature restaurant and nightlife vibrancy, as well as amenities like an infinity pool and pool bar set within a lush botanical courtyard. The Standard, Singapore will be crafted to honor the city-state’s Green Plan as well.
