Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort, is slated to reveal a slew of new renovations this November along idyllic Caribbean coastline of St. Lucia. In addition to numerous other upgrades, nine accommodations, a new main pool area, and a new fitness facility will be introduced as part of the resort’s enhanced emphasis on the influence of nature.
“Our goal is for guests to experience heightened luxury and seclusion while reconnecting with nature,” says Samantha Goodrich, Viceroy’s director of design and planning. “All areas of the property, including the guest accommodations and amenities spaces, are carefully positioned and reveal picturesque views of the island. The interiors have been crafted with a timeless and simplistic aesthetic, utilizing a light finish palette and highlighting views outward of the lush surroundings.”
Located in the main house, the resort’s fine dining concept will receive an interior facelift to maximize its beach views and will include a new open-air bar. Alfresco dining will also be newly installed close to the shoreline. The main pool will be overhauled with a multi-tiered, landscaped pooldeck lined with luxury cabanas and anchored by a new poolside bar. In addition to a new events lawn overlooking the revamped pool, the resort will expand its wellness offerings with a new spa and wellness experience. The renowned Rainforest Spa will unveil a couples treehouse treatment room. Built on stilts, the forthcoming room will immerse visitors in the jungle foliage and feature an indoor, freestanding bathtub, outdoor shower, and balcony.
Nine new luxury guestrooms will be revealed in November, including four one-bedroom beachfront bungalows and five one-bedroom luxury cliffside cottages. Contemporary interiors, including a refreshed lobby, will be characterized by a fresh, neutral palette complemented by garden views and the Pitons.
